Ten Things Thankful

I am trying to get back in the blogging groove and linking up with one of my somewhat recent discoveries and all time favorites Lizzi and Ten Things Thankful. Join us won't you? This week I am thankful for:

1. I met

today and it was love at first bite. Can you say foodgasm? SOMEONE ate half of the box already.

2. Husband let me sleep in on Friday which was VERY much appreciated since I have major sleep issues and am constantly sleep deprived.

3. New Girl NetFlix marathon. It's no secret I am usually late--years late to the party but I finally started watching this show and I am in serious head over heels love.

4. A long phone conversation with my Daddy..and some talk of him trekking to the land of milk and potatoes in August.

5. Realizing that it was EXACTLY two years ago this weekend that we moved to Idaho and it feels like home now.

6. The opportunity to honor the amazing men and women who gave their lives for our country.

7. While my daily walking hasn't shown much movement on the scale I can tell the difference in how clothes fit and how I feel.

8. Being complimented for my swift and skillful bagging skills at the local WinCo.

9. Glorious sunshiney days!

10. Opportunities to write clever FaceBook status updates poking fun at my flood:
Not only am I a busy working mom of three, student & wife but I am also a water restoration specialist and a washing machine repair ninja. I MacGuyvered it with a Joe's cup, an empty drinking pitcher and some highly skilled knob turning and perhaps a few other secrets I am not at liberty to divulge.

I'm glad to hear you aren't focused on the scale. The way you feel and the way your clothes fit are much better indicators of your health. Keep it up!
So, a career in bagging groceries is your backup? Good to have a plan B. :)

Uh oh. A flood? At least you can laugh about it now.
I do love Triscuits, especially the cracked pepper ones. Oh, and the roasted garlic ones. And the rosemary and olive oil ones. Okay, I love Triscuits. I'll have to try the brown rice ones.
Did you know that Lizzi is really a potato farmer from Idaho, masking herself as a blogger from England? Just ask her!

Thank you for your visit to my blog, Robbie.

I am wondering if triscuits are available in Japan, where I live. Brown rice sounds delicious, and I'd like to try some.

Have a wonderful week.

Yay for family to come visit!! We hope that sometime in this coming year one of our best friends in this world will finally come visit us on our side of the pond :-) I think I deserve an unbelieving stare if I admit that I've never tasted Wasabi in my life, so no input from me on the Triscuits :-) Have a great new week, Robbie!!

I love Idaho - I've only been there twice but it was insanely beautiful. And it had great radio stations. Is that a thing?
The Triscuits look fabulous.
I love New Girl and I would love to be late to that party because it would mean watching all of the seasons for the first time. Fun! That's what summer is for. Catch up.

Oh my - I've tried the Triscuit thins but only in original - bring on flavors! Yum!
It's so nice that you feel completely settled and at home in your new (ish) place. I've never moved from home and I always wonder how difficult it would be (we have a LOT of family here).
And nice work MacGuyver!

Now then I shall have to find out more about you, Robbie, because I am a potato farmer from Idaho, masking myself as a blogger from England. I'm also 50 and a man, and I stalk Dyanne from my Big Dog Van (with the tinted windows) and I try to lure her in with candy and freshly-caught kittens.

I want to know more about this state :)

I'm glad you've been having a good week to make up for the flood. I hope that's all sorted now! Sounds like a pain in the butt to manage.

Oh boy, those triscuits!

Go, Robbie, Go!

Can someone smarter than me help me determine why on earth I cannot respond to individual comments? It is baffling & aggravating! The triscuits are AMAZING!!

I caught onto to New Girl a few months ago thanks to Netflix. At the time I thought to myself that I was unusually timely in my viewing. Of course, this was not long after I viewed the entire series of Twin Peaks for the first time!

I can totally appreciate a nice conversation with someone like that as well. I love how your thankful lists is found is things that may seem not that big of a deal to others, but meant so much to you. :)
