Friday Fragments # 9

I will be the first to admit that I am anti regurgitate your political beliefs all over FaceBook, Twitter and the the entire universe. It gets ugly, it gets personal and I'm quite certain all the hate spewing, inflammatory comments NEVER cause anyone to change their mind.

My official stance is that I will blatantly ignore all political related rants, posts, tweets, status updates, conversations, email forwards et al. It is quite shocking that I even clicked on this particular link because it contained the word ELECTION. Clearly I thought it was in reference to the adorable movie from the late 90s starring Resse Witherspoon and Matthew Broderick.

Ginger wrote an amazing letter to everyone regarding the election. You should read it and tell two friends and they'll tell two friends and so on and so on.

Lerner writes over at Hey! What's Your Dream? This week Tonya invited her over to Letters For Lucas and she wrote of disappointment, anger and letting go. Lerner's courage, strength and resilience is mind blowing.

I discovered Courtenay hanging out at my favorite fancy shmancy cheese shop otherwise known as Yeah WriteThe baby is powerful, heartbreaking and amazingly crafted.

This is the part where I BEG and PLEAD with you to leave me links to some of your favorite reads of the week.

Thanks for the shout-out, lady! I've had a busy week of working (students are back, woot!) so my reading was mostly confined to Yeah Write, but here's a link to a post written by another red-haired Iowa mama (it's a plague, I tell ya...): http://redheadreverie.com/2012/08/30/lost-and-found-bpm/

Oh man, my brain if fried. I love this Friday thing of yours. I'm going to have to keep notes during the week, my poor short term memory...

With so much fantastic out there it's hard to remember your favorites. It's read, comment and move on to another read.
