BlogOlutions Review

I wrote these last year and thought I should probably see how I did before making any drastic resolutions for 2013.
1Comment more
I spend lots of time reading but not near enough time commenting. Sometimes I feel like I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said but I vow to share more comment love.

**I definitely comment MUCH more than I use to. I am more confident in adding my 2 cents or just saying how much Iove what someone wrote.

2. Grow my readership
I think it's time to share this baby with people I know IN REAL LIFE. This will be a big step for me.

**So ummm, yeah. I definitely have more readers and Twitter followers and commenters but I've not shared this with people IRL yet..other than Big Yankee.

3. Host a giveaway
It will probably involve a monkey since I love monkeys and I am momma to 3 monkeys. I promise not to give my children away thru my blog. That could get a little dicey.

**I've been lucky enough to do a few giveaways thanks to some sponsored posts. Giving away a sock monkey is definitely still on my radar for 2013.

4. Keep blogging
I am hoping the coming year brings about many changes...finally selling our house, moving across country, going back to WOH to name a few. I don't want the chaos of life to keep me from writing about it.

**I've had a few dry spells of blogging but never for what I consider an extended period of time. We've had many big changes and I've blogged through them.

5. Paticipate
I want to take part in more writing prompts, link-ups, twitter parties. I want to be more active.

**I scored big time in this! I've found fabulous link ups that I participate in quite frequently including Monday Listicles with Stasha and Pour Your Heart Out with Shell.

6. Learn
It is no secret that I am severely technically challenged so this will probably be the most difficult one for me. I want and need to learn more about the technical side of this blogging gig.

**I've learned some new (to me) tricks but I still have a long way to go.

So  what blogolutions are you making? What do you wish you knew when you first started out?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I think these are great goals, and we can all benefit by working towards them. Perfection isn't the goal- but improvement is what we should strive for. I think you do a wonderful job.

I ended up sharing my blog with family and friends because we have gotten so many questions and requests for updates on our new situation, so this is much, much easier. I think in the back of my mind I always knew someday it would happen (and my mother is very nosy) so I never talked about topics I wouldn't feel comfortable with people reading. Besides, the goal for my blog is to keep a journey documented for my boys- so I stay true to that. That's what I feel is important. I never lose sight of my purpose.

I have got to start blogging again! It's been so long since my last post, that I'm all nervous again like a newbie!

Those are great resolutions. I need to start commenting more too. I'd like to do more link ups too; I'll try the Pour Your Heart Out you mentioned. Thanks!

I can relate. I've taken about 2 weeks off and it just feels weird...like I don't know how to do it anymore.

You should definitely check out some link ups. It's also one of my favorite places to find new blogs to read and people to follow.

Great points. For me I always thought I would tell ppl but I also feel like this is the ONE thing that is only for me. Does that make sense?
