Saturday Strange

Six days ago my monkeys piled into Big Yankee's black Sonota and headed to the Golden State for a visit to the grandparents. It's been a roller coaster of a week.

1. My mom was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday. It is paralyzing to be 1300+ miles away. While she will likely be released in a few days I know it's only a matter of time.

2. We started looking at houses-to buy. It is both exhilarating and scary as hell.

3. I had grand plans to spring clean and organize the kids' rooms during their absence. If you consider piling random crap on their beds and shoving stuff under their beds spring cleaning then I have succeeded.

4. I hosted a Happy Hour tonight and when no one had shown up by 6:10 I started to feel like the awkward kid who didn't have anyone show up to her birthday party.

5. While I am use to flying solo due to Big Yankee's non traditional work schedule I felt like a square peg in a round hole at the comedy show tonight.

6. My jeans are getting too big. And I can't stop watching Sister Wives.

What has your week been like?

:( Sorry you've had such an up and down week. It must be very tough being so far from your mom.

I hope you find the home you are looking for. I need to get a new dryer. It keeps shrinking my jeans. ;P

Oh man. My parents were in a car accident on Monday, so I know that paralyzing fear of not being there.

Thinking of you!
