Ten Things Thankful #1

I am very excited and thankful to be linking up for the very first time.

Ten Things of Thankful

1. Fifty child free minutes on Sunday.

2. No kid sporting events to attend this weekend. It will likely be the last event free weekend for several months.

3. Movie date to see Monsters University with three other moms and eight kids at the cheap theater.

4. An opportunity to help someone. I was at the bag it yourself grocery store and an older woman was having difficulty getting bags open. The clerk didn't bother to help and just kept ringing people up leading to a backup of groceries. Two people WALKED around her and grabbed their groceries off the belt. It was obvious she was getting more and ore flustered. It took me exactly ten seconds to help her.

5. Eating dinner with my family. Due to work schedules this happens twice a week at best.

6. A drama free family dinner.

7. Phone conversation with my mom. Though she has been sick and sounded tired she was in good spirits.

8. Drinks with a friend.

9. Sleeping in until 9:36 am on Saturday. Ahh memories of pre-k days.

10. Finding this wonderful new to me link up.

Welcome to the TToT! enjoyed your list...it does so often come down to something very simple (really liked your checkout line experience...good on you!)
to make all the difference.
in this impersonal world, there are so many ways we all can help...and no one but us and the other person (*and* everyone participating in this rather cool bloghop will ever know)

see ya next week!

A great list! Sometimes it's the little things and sometimes what seems like a little thing is really a BIG Thing!

Wow. The grocery store story is appalling. So glad you were there to show her and everyone that not everyone is a complete imbecile.

Love that you linked up for a list of gratitude! And I love that you helped the older lady. People suck.

Thanks for linking up. I'm glad you were able to help that woman. What a great example you set for those around you!

Of course you would help that elderly lady because that is the kind of person you are...thoughtful!

I loved your list!!

Welcome to TToT! So glad you found us and joined us! You have a terrific list. Isn't it a nice feeling to help someone just because it was the right thing to do and not because someone asked or expected you to do it? And having a family dinner is so difficult when the kids get older and are off in different directions for all their activities. It's made even better when it's a drama free dinner!
I hope you'll join us again next week!

Good GRIEF! Ten seconds - all it took to probably make that lady's day! You're a star :) What a lovely thing to be able to include on your list, even if the flipside was, well, everyone else who DIDN'T have the compassion or common sense to be kind.

I like you already :D

How gorgeous to have a drama-free family dinner, and I bet the time to yourself was very precious. I hope you used it well.

So pleased to see you linking up for the first time - may it be the first of many :D Welcome.

Thanks for commenting on my blog tonight :)! I also recently found TToT but have yet to participate. Am thinking I need to get on the stick and try it...I need a gratitude adjustment! Enjoyed your simple listing which is how I'd likely participate!

I think Monday is a great day to link up a gratitude list. Starts the week on the right foot. Very refreshing to read!

Good to see you here at TToT! Welcome!
50 whole minutes? Whatever did you do with all that time? (That may sound sarcastic, but it isn't. I'm really curious. I haven't had 50 minutes to myself in a looong time.
I love a good drama-free family dinner.
AND a weekend without activities. Those are rare indeed.
