No More

My mom turned seventy-three on Monday. I didn't get to celebrate with her due to the one thousand three hundred and forty-nine miles between us. Today she told me that she is eligible for hospice.

There will be no more birthdays.

In the days to come I hope I can find the words but for now I am just trying to hold on tight and hold it together.

I've been there... recently, in fact. I'm so very sorry.

I am so sorry. I read this one after the wee hour post you put up this morning and I, too, and thankful for those tickets home you purchased. May you share and create memories that sustain you in the hardest hours.
