Thankful Thursday

Trying to put a positive spin on life here in Fractured Family Tales land. Lately it seems I am sucked deep into the "woe is me" vortex. So here are some things I appreciate today:

1.  Nobody (including me!! go me!) yelled, cried or threw things while getting ready for school this morning.

2. THESE. No more sitting on kids, plugging noses and squirting nasty tasting liquid meds down their throats (which they promptly spew everywhere). StinkBug woke up with a sore throat and willingly took these magic pills.

3. PreCool Art class brings me great joy...and 45 minutes in which I can hit the track @ the recreation center without the drama of "I don't want to go to the toy room by myself!!" Ms. Sarah rocks with her enthusiasm and positive interactions.

4. Target. It's my happy place. My Mecca. My house of worship. I went today with two extremely energetic boys and it was paradise. They begged and pleaded to get in one of those annoying monstrosities-2 seated carts- and I indulged. The boys loved my crazy driving skillz and grabbing the cart just shy of crashing down a display of underwire bras sent them into fits of giggles while simultaneously covering each other's eyes and yelling "Don't look at the bras! Whatever you do, don't look at the bras!" The senior citizens shopping were not nearly as appreciative of my talents.
5. BATS..my new invention and healthy too! Bacon (turkey), avocado, tomato, and spinach on
these:

6. I'm working on a surprise for Big Yankee. I can't even give you any hints because he reads me. (Everyone wave and shout BIG YANKEE!) Let's just say it is going to be magnificent.

What are you thankful for this fine day?

Those Tylenol Meltaways are a Godsend for Ash. She gags on all liquid meds.

Today, I am thankful for already having dinner planned and prepped and knowing that we can sit down within 10 mins from basketball practice and eat. That means we all get a decent bedtime ;-)

Best part? Your driving skills and your silly boys and their bras.

I love Target too, it is also one of my happy places! I need to get some of those Tylenol Meltaways for my kids. I'm visiting from Janae's "Good News" link. I hope you feel better and have a good weekend!

Great post! I could relate! Your #1 is also a daily goal of mine, though it rarely happens. :)

And your Target story was so funny. I've had to temporarily ban myself after accidentally spending more than $100 last time I went. I'm not quite sure what happened!

So glad you added your good news today!

It was HILARIOUS! I wish I could have video'd that part.

What's not to love about Target? Thanks for reading me today ;)

I LOVE the Meltaways! In fact I took some (ok 6 or 8) last night b/c i had a headache and was too lazy to go to the pantry to get my meds. Thanks for the visit :)

I don't know why it is so difficult for me NOT to yell in the mornings. It's been a bumpy ride lately so I had to brag :)

I only allow myself a trip to Target if I actually have a little extra $ to spend otherwise it is torture.

Ugh...the school morning rush...my latest thing to be thankful for was I didn't have to do it today! And Target? LOVE. Of course we don't have one in Vancouver, BC, where I am, but I hear one is on its way! Yippee!

That's awesome! I love Target too - and leave the mornings to my husband. :-)

I'm so jealous - I wish I had a Target close by, but the nearest one is over an hour away!! Good deal on not yelling in the morning - I find that so hard to do most days!!

Stopping by from the Good News! hop!
