Big Yankee Rocks

Linking up with  Stasha for another week of Listicles. This week's topic is Ways in which my husband rocks.

1. He returns library books and goes to the post office and the bank and Costco and does our taxes and takes care of car repairs.  ALL THE TIME.

2. He is a grill master.

3. He made HUGE sacrifices for our family such as living more than 1200 miles away from his wife and children for a job.

4. He makes and decorates all the birthday cakes!

5. He vacuums, does laundry and makes beds. He even matches the white socks-of which there are thousands and thousands.

6. He calls my mom to talk about college basketball.

7. He loves my big hair -now and then!

8. He {sometimes} reads my blog.

9. Big Yankee appreciates my smart assery.

10. He LOVES us ALL!

Sounds like a good dude. And he must be with the whole working/living distance thing for a while!

I love your big hair too!!! :)

I don't know why, but grill master is an important one. it's got that "manly" essence thing, ya know?

My guy is definitely in charge of the grill at our place, too. I cooked my first burgers on the grill last year, but even lighting it makes me nervous!

I WILL bring big hair back!

Yep, totally worth it but one of the most difficult times in our lives.

I don't even know how to work the grill but I make up for it by creating fab sides to accompany his grilling :)

Thanks! Does that mean you will join my cause to bring back big hair?

You are right-a man's man has gotta grill.

Ha..I get nervous lighting it too! In fact since we go ta new one last year I have no clue how to even do that.

He's made some great cakes-firetrucks, baseballs etc.

Thanks & I think so too!

Not only does he do laundry but he puts it away AND matches socks! #Iwinathusbands

I am totally stunned by that hair. It was like looking into a mirror...a few decades ago. Curly hair rules!

I think I speak for everyone when I say: Can we clone your husband? The sock matching alone would make him irresistible.

I love your big hair too! And he returns library books? How awesome. I just paid 13.00 plus a 12.00 processing fee yesterday for a lost book. Ugh. Maddening. It is wonderful to have someone who not only helps when asked -- but is looking for ways to help make our job as mom and household CEO a little easier.

Love this post! More wives (and husbands too) should write blog posts about how great their other half is! The world would be a better place!

So are you on board with bringing back big hair?

He is a rockstar laundry guy!

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am! We've had some hefty library fines in the past but now he gets text or email alerts which makes life much easier.

Thanks! It's a good reminder of how lucky I am!
