Old School Blogging Pop Culture Edition

**Disclaimer: I'm the anti pop culture maven. You DO NOT want me on your trivial pursuit team. If I'm at the doctor's office and pick up a copy of US or People I pretty much don't recognize ANYONE! I am the person who says "he was that guy who was on that show about those women who lived on the same street. He was married to the chic with the dark hair who annoyed me. The one whose daughter was even more annoying." Obviously I'm talking about Mike from Desperate Housewives.

What was one of your favorite shows as a kid?  Why?
Just one? That's not a fair question. I loved Eight is Enough (always wanted a big family), Love Boat (I fantasized about being Julie the Cruise Director), Facts of Life (how fun would it be to live with all your Bffs? And when Mrs. Garrett opened her really cool store?) Brady Bunch.

Which actress(es) do you see on the red carpet and kinda wish you could be for a day (or three)?
I don't watch red carpet events. In fact I pretty much avoid them since I don't remember who most of those people are. I like Christina Applegate and Tina Fey and Ellen Degeneres and while I wouldn't want to be them I would want to hang out with them!

Which actor do you wish you could, um... hang out with? ;)
I'm going to say Bradley Cooper because I saw him on someone else's list and he is easy on the eyes. I will also admit to doing a Google search for hot actors...and I either didn't recognize them or they were too young!

What is one (or two or some) of your favorite movies that you have seen in the last few years?
I don't see many movies-unless they are kid movies. I did love The Croods. I don't watch movies t home because I don't have the attention span to JUST SIT and watch a movie.

Who is one celebrity out there now that you could totally do without? That you wish would just disappear?
The obnoxious ones.
Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who? What did you say/do when you met them?
I met Hoda when I was in NYC on a girls reunion trip. I walked RIGHT by her and didn't even know who she was until my friends started going all star crazy. She posed for a picture with us on the HighLine. I don't remember what I said to her since I wasn't really sure who she was...even as we were taking the picture.

Josh Hopkins from Cougar Town? We had a brief relationship in 5th (or maybe it was 6th) grade. I was working at the school store selling spiral notebooks and erasers when we decided to end our relationship.

Which shows do you look forward to watching every week?
The idea of watching shows every single week is adorable...and NOT happening in my world! I do DVR many shows and watch them every few weeks on the rare occasion that I manage to stay up later than the kids and Big Yankee lets me control the remote. Some of my favorites include:

Parenthood
The Good Wife
The Mindy Show
Modern Family
Big Bang Theory
