An Hour of My Day

I LOVE linking up with Stasha for Monday Listicles. This week's topic is to write a list about an hour of your day. It was inspired by Stacey from Mothering Moments.

An hour of my day: 7:30-8:30 pm

1. Rush home from scouts/swimming/etc stopping for milk/bread/cereal with all 3 monkeys who are hungry and tired/silly/fighting.

2. Throw dinner on the table while starting a load of laundry & talking to Big Yankee on phone.

3. Send Einstein to shower while helping Peanut with 3rd grade homework & setting Stinkbug up online.

4. Retrieve towel for Einstein while signing permission slips, unloading dishwasher and making chocolate milk for Stinkbug.

5. Send Peanut to shower while listening to trombone concert by Einstein and helping StinkBug put on Buzz Lightyear halloween costume.

6. Fold laundry while listening to Einstein's detailed description of how to tie a wooly buggar and looking for my cell phone.

7. Help StinkBug in shower while refereeing "whose turn is it to talk to daddy first" fights.

8. Check 5th grade math homework while serving snack to 3 kids, packing lunches and prodding kids to pass the phone to next kid to say goodnight to daddy.

9. Break up epic battle over toothpaste tube while setting timer for Stinkbug to brush his teeth and helping Peanut chose outfit for the next day.

10. Read books, feed red eared slider turtle, fill 3 water glasses, sing goodnight song & tuck in kids X3, lay down with Stinkbug for "just a minute Momma so i can hug you" wake up in the bottom bunk 2 hours later.

I'm tired just reading that! Though it seems about right, having to seriously multi-task to get everything done! Thanks for linking up today!

Mama, you are one busy lady! Homework, showers, dinner, yikes. It's the same over here at my place so I know what you mean. Like Stacey above said, I'm tired from just reading your one hour post! LOL

Whew! That wore me out. Our toothpaste battles usually take place in the mornings since my boys have different bedtimes. Which reminds me, I need to buy toothpaste since they have run out and confiscated mine.

Reading....Bravo Mama. A lot of that sounded familiar with our lives but I had seriously been letting down in the reading department with my youngest. We read together last night for the first time in a long while. It was good. I've got to remember it doesn't have to be 30 minutes. Even a few minutes can be good.

I can only imagine that you'd pass out on that lower bunk! That's only an hour in your night and I'm exhausted for you!

Looks like it's never without a fight at your house as well. Gotta love it, right?
Love #10 - I have woken up more than once on my son's futon ;)

I'm exhausted just reading that. Lots of stuff to fit into that hour. No wonder you fall asleep on your kid's bed.

I love your link-ups...such unique ideas for the lists. It really gets my brain working....

If I thought about it too much I would probably lose my sanity.

I don't know why it is so difficult to brush teeth at the same time. I feel like an air traffic controller trying to keep things from colliding.

I read a lot less to my 3rd kiddo than i did the first two...it's a matter of logistics...3 of them and 1 of me. Luckily his big sister reads to him a lot so he doesn't get totally forgotten.

I have a love/hate relationship with bedtime. It is so mentally and physically exhausting but brings such sweet rewards when they are all asleep!

My kids fight over soap....

glad I am not the only one falling asleep with the kiddos.

I am always ready for bedtime that is for sure!

Multitasking is a life-saving skill! I agree with everyone else, i feel quite exhausted after reading this. I would probably wake up the next morning already. :D

You are one busy mama Robbie!
At first I thought your Item #1 was at 7:30 am and that you lived an entire lifetime in the morning before 7:30 am. Thank goodness I read it again and it was PM. Sheesh. (-:

I would definitely be a crazed woman if that took place before 7:30 am! :)

I had to laugh out loud at you falling asleep with the kids and waking up 2 hours later. That happens to me always!
